This album was born from three years of random encounters and infinite computer hours. Together and apart, the three members of Pássaro slowly crafted soundscapes which, over time, took on a life of their own - they came into being.
Melodies swell around the sweet spot between Brazilian northeastern traditions and southeastern electronica, glued together with warm guitars and soft bass lines.
"Before the world existed, for a brief moment, there was only "Sound". In that instant a voice sings and calls everything into existence: from the depth of the void to the light of harmony. Ebbing and flowing, in a trance of crescendos, a psychedelic caravan floats down the cosmic river. Sinuous keyboards linger and fade. Like waking up from a strange yet beautiful dream.
Pássaro calmly build the soundscape of a magical jungle, at times soaring above the canopy in breezy flutes, at times diving deep under the shadow of the trees, in the heart of the jungle, where fantastic critters add their digital chirps. Night falls. We gather around a bonfire. There s joy and dance, singing and the clapping of hands. A thin crescent moon sets on the horizon. Creatures come closer and join the dance. The fire cracks, sending sparks towards the sky. We turn our eyes up and its time to travel across the universe, on board of this intergalactic canoe."
