不知道大家在 Youtube 找尋 City Pop 推薦歌單的時候，有沒有出現過這張1982年來自印度 Rupa Biswas Sen 的專輯《Disco Jazz》？雖然與 City Pop 沒有太多的關係，但我們第一次與這張專輯見面確實是在聽 竹內瑪莉亞 之後點到，沒想到在兩、三年的推播下，歌曲〈Aaj Shanibar 〉默默地破了百萬，也讓這張專輯在去年重新被發行實體。

《Disco Jazz》一聽就會有種說不出來的魔力，東、西方的樂器在這樣的音樂下融合恰當，那樣動感的旋律配上 RUPA 的歌聲，雖然不明白歌詞的涵義，但卻相當洗腦（是舒服的那種），就像你跟最好朋友或情人在家裡兩個人一搭一唱莫名其妙的語言一樣，不自覺就會跟著唱。
