◆ GROUP is an instrumental band that can be counted among the pioneers of Japanese post-rock. However, the music they play cannot be called post-rock. They play "just" instrumentals that are incredibly moving. The current members are Takehisa (g), Ige (g), Ishikawa (b), Hancho (tp), Kenji (ss), and Tetsuro (ds). This is their first new album in 15 years (their third overall), and they have captivated many fans with their emotional music that is full of songfulness and combines lyricism and tension.
◆ 15 years have passed since the previous album "Before Turning Off the Light" due to the departure and replacement of members, but the music full of ups and downs that evoke various emotions is still alive and well. Two emotional guitars that organically intertwine, two horns that sometimes show a refreshing expression and sob, and drums and bass that move delicately and dynamically... The time has come to get drunk on that sound again, cry, rejoice, and tremble with emotion. A wonderful masterpiece that approaches with immeasurable appeal has been born.
◆ Recording and mixing was done by Yui Kimijima (Tsubame Studio), who also works with skillkills and Kikagaku Moyo. Please pay attention to the vivid yet warm analog sound.
