This compilation explores the roots of the song that lit up Japan just after the war!　Boogie Woogie, a genre of blues music that became popular among African-Americans at the end of the 1920s, boomed in the late 30s and remained popular until the early 50s, contributing greatly to the development of jump blues and having a profound influence on rhythm & blues and rock & roll. "What is boogie woogie?" This compilation focuses on pre-war works, mainly before the birth of that music, and is intended to be enjoyed in a casual and informal way without any rigidities. The songs were selected by Hitoshi Koide, who is also known as the pre-war researcher, to create a compilation of easygoing boogie-woogie seeking songs!　The first time the term boogie woogie was used, Pine Top Smith s 1929 hit Pine Top s Boogie Woogie was a real goner!
